Desert to Delta

Client Overview:

This was a personal passion project created in collaboration with my sister, Eva Taylor. In the spring of 2013, we embarked on an unforgettable eight-day journey through three distinct safari camps in Botswana, immersing ourselves in the country’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.

Our adventure unfolded across:

  • The arid scrublands of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

  • The sweeping grasslands of Chobe National Park.

  • The lush, marshy banks of the Okavango Delta.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience provided the inspiration and foundation for this project, capturing the beauty, diversity, and raw essence of the African wilderness.

Project Overview:

Recognizing the uniqueness of this experience, we set out to document our journey by creating a beautiful, coffee table-style photo book—a lasting keepsake to preserve the memories.

With Eva handling the copywriting and myself leading the photography, photo editing, layout, and production, we carefully curated a visual and narrative storytelling piece that captured the essence of our adventure.

The final result was a premium-quality, 80-page hardcover book, measuring 8.25" x 10", thoughtfully designed to showcase the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife we encountered. We printed three copies—one for each of us and a shared copy for our parents—to commemorate this incredible experience.
